The University Institute of Law was established in 2017 after receiving approval from the Bar Council of India. The institute is dedicated to providing quality education through its B.A.LL.B (5 years, Integrated Course), LL.M. (2 Years Course), and Doctoral Programme (Ph.D). Its reputation in the field of legal education is steadily growing, acknowledged for its well-equipped facilities including spacious lecture halls, a Moot Court Room resembling an actual courtroom, and a comprehensive library stocked with books by prominent national and international authors, as well as essential law reports and journals both in hard copies and online as per BCI norms. The institute aims to deliver high-quality professional and ethical education in a vibrant academic environment, led by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members.
To enhance advocacy skills, students are encouraged to participate in inter-class moots and national-level moot court competitions. The institute also engages practicing advocates to train aspiring lawyers. Practical training in courts, internships in lawyers' chambers, and court visits are integral components of the curriculum. Additionally, a Legal Aid Clinic has been established to provide legal assistance, organizing legal aid camps in nearby villages. The institute offers internship opportunities in various private, government, and non-governmental organizations and conducts a range of academic and extracurricular activities such as debates, quizzes, and cultural events regularly.
