Vice- Chancellor
The dream project of the reverend Saints of Dera Santpura Jabbar, Sant Baba Bhag Singh Ji, Sant Baba Hardyal Singh Mussafir Ji and Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji was realised with the establishment of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University vide Punjab Government Act 6 of 2015. The progression began with the establishment of primary education for girls in 1954, which was then followed by the setting up of a senior secondary school and further advanced to higher education through colleges and institutes. This journey ultimately culminated in the founding of the university.
The University's founding Chancellor, Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji, and second Chancellor, Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), held a noble and visionary goal of offering higher education to the poor, underprivileged, and rural students in the region. Recognizing the challenges these students faced in accessing education elsewhere due to financial constraints, they dedicated themselves to establishing this institution of learning at affordable rates. The University provides a comprehensive array of study programmes, offering diverse options for professional development in areas such as Engineering, Management, Sciences, Humanities, Commerce, Education, Sports, Rural Development, and Agriculture. These programmes range from short-term courses to doctoral degrees, catering to a wide range of academic interests and career aspirations.
