Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organizes Webinar on the Topic “Impact of Pollution on Wetlands in Punjab”

The Department of Life Sciences & Allied Health Sciences, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, organized one day webinar on the Topic “Impact of Pollution on Wetlands in Punjab” under the supervision of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar on 31st March, 2021. The worthy Vice Chancellor commenced the session; and motivated all the participants to utilize this webinar as a unique opportunity to gain insight into the wetland pollution. Dr. Onkar Singh Brraich, Assistant Professor, Punjabi University Patiala was the keynote speaker for the event. He discussed the impact of heavy metal pollutants on the Ropar and Harike wetlands. Further, he elaborated the deleterious effects of such pollutants on aquatic biodiversity. The Webinar concluded with addressing the queries of the participants and a vote of thanks by Dr. Shweta Singh, Coordinator of the Department.
