With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji & able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, and under the aegis of IQAC, ESM Cell SBBSU and under the scheme launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi on the occasion of world Environment Day, 5th June, 2024 (“Ek Ped Maa ke Naam" Plant4 Mother Campaign) and under the initiative of Community Engagement & Social Responsibility.Department of Physical Sciences, University Institute of Sciences organized an extension activity of Plantation Drive in Dingrian Primary School, Bhogpur Adampur Road Jalandhar on 10th February 2025 at 10.00 am onwards, led by the activity incharges Ms. Arwinder Kaur, Dr. Sonia and 18 students of the department.
The aim of the activity is to raise awareness among people about tree plantation.
A total of 18students and 2 faculty members organized this activity.
The purpose of tree plantation is to save the endangered environment and to beautify our life.
Trees are valuable gifts of nature and are known as the best friends of human beings. They benefit us in various ways.
As the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and other environment-related issues, planting trees has become one of the most important aspects today.
The idea behind the tree plantation activity was to propagate the message that planting trees helps to maintain a clean, eco-friendly environment, reduces pollution, and improves the green ambience.
Students, along with the villagers, grow the plants in various parts of the village.
