B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture – First Year (2025 Batch)

The Induction Program for the newly admitted students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, 1st Year was successfully organized starting on 21st July, 2025 at the University campus. The program was designed in accordance with the UGC guidelines on student induction (Deeksharambh) and aimed to familiarize students with the academic environment, institutional culture, and overall learning ecosystem.

Registration and Welcome

The students were welcomed with great enthusiasm by the faculty members of the Faculty of Agriculture. The registration process was smoothly conducted in Block No. 5, where the students were guided by faculty and staff members. The new entrants expressed excitement and curiosity as they embarked on their academic journey.

Program Structure

The induction program was planned for one week, with interactive sessions conducted by the teaching faculty as per the Deeksharambh syllabus. The sessions included:

  • Introduction to the University and its vision
  • Orientation about the B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program structure
  • Familiarization with academic rules, examination system, and student support services
  • Interactive sessions with faculty members
  • Campus tour, including laboratories, library, research farms, and other facilities
  • Motivational talks, cultural interaction, and ice-breaking activities

Student Response

The newly admitted students actively participated in all sessions. They were keen to learn new aspects of university life, eager to explore the facilities, and expressed great enthusiasm during faculty interactions. The interactive sessions helped them develop confidence, build peer bonding, and understand the values of discipline and academic integrity.

Conclusion

The induction program not only helped students in smooth transition from school to university life but also instilled a sense of belongingness, motivation, and academic curiosity. The Faculty of Agriculture looks forward to nurturing these young minds towards excellence in agricultural sciences.
