The Institute of Education , Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 ,2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Three activities were organized namely PowerPoint presentation competition, Poster making competitionand Quiz competition.
In the PowerPoint presentation competition, Jasleen Kaur (B.Ed. Semester 1st (2025) was adjudged first among participants Jagdish Kumar, Karinaand Jasleen Kaur. Manpreet Kaur (B.Ed. Semester 1st (2025) secured the first position in the poster making competition among participants Harpreet Kaur, Charanjit Kaur, Manpreet Kaur and Sakshi Sharma. In the quiz competition there are four teams in whichteam A comprising Jagdish Kumar, Komal, Princeand Champi (all B.Ed. 1st Semester students) emerged winners.
Gifts were presented to the winners by Dean Dr. Aneet Kumar as a token of appreciation for their efforts. Education faculty members were also actively present to support and encourage the students. Ms. Rajveer Kaur and Ms. Gurveer Kaur acted as judges for PowerPoint presentations while Dr. Ankush Jasrotiya and Dr. Harpreet Kaur judged the poster making competition. The event was graced by Dr. Aneet Kumar (Dean UIE), Dr. Mandeep Singh (Deputy Dean UIE), Dr. Vikas Sharma (HoD Education), along with faculty members , Dr. Ankus Jasrotiya, Dr. Harpreet Kaur ,Mr.Anmol Preet Pal Singh ,Mrs. Shalu Mahey , Mrs. Parmjit Kaur, Ms.Rajveer Kaur ,Ms.Sukhmeet Kaur, ,Mrs. Parveen Kumari ,Mrs. Gurveer kaur, Ms. Sakshi and Ms. Jivan jot Sharma.The Dean appreciated the efforts of students and emphasized the need to follow Gandhiji’s ideals of truth and non-violence in everyday life.
