"Quality of Teaching Strategies"

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Quality of Teaching Strategies" was successfully conducted at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar from 11 to 15 February 2024. Organized by the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) department, this five-day program saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members across all departments, including UIET, UIS, UICM, UICA, UIL, UIH, UIE, and UIA. Approximately 15 faculty members joined this insightful initiative.

The FDP aimed to enhance teaching methodologies, encourage innovation in pedagogy, and foster a deeper understanding of quality teaching strategies. Over the course of five days, experts delivered interactive sessions covering various themes, including:

• Innovative Pedagogical Approaches – Exploring new-age teaching techniques.
• Assessment and Evaluation Strategies – Designing effective evaluation systems.
• Integrating Technology in Education – Leveraging digital tools for an enriched learning experience.
• Engaging and Retaining Learners – Understanding diverse learner needs.
• Quality Assurance in Teaching – Ensuring standards in educational delivery.

The program provided a platform for faculty members to share experiences, discuss challenges, and brainstorm solutions to improve educational outcomes. Engaging activities, workshops, and discussions made the sessions more interactive and impactful.

The closing ceremony highlighted the importance of continual learning for educators. Participants appreciated the UIET department for its initiative and the organizers for their meticulous planning.

This FDP stands as a testament to the university’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development for its teaching community.
