Faculty Development Programme (FDP)

"Quality of University Record Keeping"

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Quality of University Record Keeping" was successfully conducted on 19 February 2024 at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar. Organized by the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) department, the two-day program witnessed active participation from faculty members across all departments, including UIET, UIS, UICM, UICA, UIL, UIH, UIE, and UIA. Approximately 14 faculty members attended the event.

The primary goal of the FDP was to enhance the participants' knowledge and skills in maintaining accurate, efficient, and secure university records. The program covered various essential topics, including:

• Fundamentals of University Record Keeping – Exploring the principles of systematic documentation and organization.
• Technological Advancements in Record Management – Demonstrating the use of modern tools and software for effective data handling.
• Data Security and Confidentiality – Ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and best practices.
• Adherence to Legal Standards – Understanding the regulatory requirements for academic and administrative records.
• Best Practices and Common Challenges – Sharing solutions to improve the reliability and accessibility of records.

Interactive sessions, practical examples, and collaborative discussions allowed participants to exchange ideas and learn innovative strategies for improving record-keeping practices at the university.

The program concluded with a closing ceremony where attendees expressed gratitude to the UIET department for organizing the event and emphasized the relevance of the knowledge gained in ensuring the university's operational efficiency.

This FDP reinforced the university’s dedication to fostering excellence in administrative and academic operations while providing faculty members with tools to support a culture of accountability and professionalism.
