Celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthday – Creative Competitions by Department of Commerce, UICM

Event Overview

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthday, the Department of Commerce, UICM organized two creative events — Poster Making Competition and Rangoli Making Competition on 3rd November 2025 in the 7th Block of the university campus. The events aimed to promote creativity, teamwork, and cultural spirit among the students.

Poster Making Competition

The Poster Making Competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from Team A, Team B, Team C, and Team D. The evaluation was based on the following criteria: Creativity, Relevance to Theme, Clarity, and Artistic Presentation.

Results:

• 🏆 Winner: Team B
• 🥈 Second Position: Team C

Rangoli Making Competition

In the Rangoli Making Competition, six teams — Team A, B, C, D, E, and F — showcased their artistic talent with vibrant and creative designs.

The judging criteria included Creativity, Colour Combination, Neatness, and Finishing.

Results:

• 🏆 Winner: Team C
• 🥈 Second Position: Team D

Judges

The competitions were judged by Dr. Avtar Singh and Dr. Baljeet Kaur, whose fair and insightful evaluation added great value to the event. Their presence and encouragement motivated the participants to perform their best.

Conclusion

Both competitions received an overwhelming response from the students. The participants demonstrated exceptional creativity and devotion, making the celebration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthday a memorable and inspiring event. The Department of Commerce, UICM appreciates the efforts of all participants, judges, and organizers for making the event a grand success.
