Summary Report: Extension Activity on Raksha Bandhan
The Department of Physical Sciences, UIS, under the aegis of IQAC, organized an extension activity from 1:00 PM onwards. The activity was conducted by:
- Dr. Nisha Sharma (HOD, Physical Sciences)
- Dr. Honey Sharma (Coordinator, Physical Sciences)
- Ms. Arwinder Kaur (Activity Incharge, Physical Sciences)
- Dr. Sonia (Activity Incharge, Physical Sciences)
They briefly explained the significance of Raksha Bandhan.
- The aim of the activity was to introduce the concept of handmade Rakhi as a symbol of love and creativity.
- Creative Harmony served as a blend of tradition and innovation, encouraging creativity and craft skills among students.
- The event was inaugurated with a welcome speech by the Activity In-Charges of the department.
- Students of the Physical Sciences department gathered in Room 307 and enthusiastically participated in designing and crafting Rakhis using waste materials, pearls, and old jewelry.
- Each student brought unique materials from home—discarded fabric scraps, broken bangles, unused buttons, and leftover threads—which were transformed into beautiful Rakhis through imaginative designs and teamwork.
- A total of 14 students of the Physical Sciences department participated in the activity.
- Dr. Shweta Singh, Dean UIS, proudly handed over prizes and certificates to the students who secured the 1st and 2nd positions.
- The event concluded smoothly and provided both learning and refreshing experiences for the students and teachers.
