A Progressive Farmer
An interactive session was organized with Mr. Mohinder Singh Doosanjh, a progressive farmer holding a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture. During the session, Mr. Doosanjh shared valuable insights into the various challenges faced by farmers in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. He also discussed practical and innovative solutions to overcome these problems, drawing from his personal experiences and real-life examples. One of the major issues he highlighted was the growing water crisis and the changing patterns in crop cultivation. He emphasized the need for sustainable farming practices and adaptive strategies to cope with these challenges. The session was highly engaging, with students actively participating and asking numerous questions. Mr. Doosanjh responded to each query enthusiastically and with great clarity, enriching the students' understanding of current agricultural issues. The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, along with faculty members from the Department of Agriculture, including Dr. Shalu Vyas (Promoter – Agriculture), Dr. Kumari Manisha, and Dr. Vikrant Jaryan, Head of the Department.
