Poetry Recitation On International Mother Language Day

This event of poetry inspired many young poets to come forward and recite on stage. The poetry recitation activity was organised by the University Institute of Education (Department of Punjabi, UIH) on the eve of International Mother Language Day on 24th February 2022.Dr.Harpreet Singh (Assistant Professor in Punjabi Department) organised this program in a well coordinated manner.Dr. Mandeep Singh (Dy.Dean ,UIE)gave a warm welcome to all.Dr. Aneet Kumar(Dean UIE)addressed the students with a few words on this event.The students from different departments enthusiastically participated in the activity as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. They came up with different poems which reflected their self-expression. Everyone enjoyed the perfection of expression of thoughts,emotions in different languages of English,Hindi and Punjabi. All faculty members were present here.Some faculty members like Ms. Shabnam(COD,FD)Dr.Sangeeta(Assistant Professor in Punjabi Department )Ms.Rajveer Kaur( Assistant Professor in Department of Education)Ms.Parmjeet Kaur(Assistant Professor in Department of Education)Mr.Kailash Chand(Assistant Professor in Department of Music) gave their heart-felt contribution by recitating their hand written poetry.Dr.Anita Rani (Assistant Professor in Punjabi Department) ) concluded the program with vote of thanks.The participants were appreciated and applauded for their performances by giving them a token of books.
