NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar in association with ESM Cell, SBBSU organized an awareness drive to discourage the use of Single use plastic on 28th October 2021 under the supervision of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar.
The members of NSS Unit and ESM Cell along with the students participated in the event and aware the staff of canteen and other surrounding shops to discourage the use of single use plastic. They also alert the students thereby, and asked them not to purchase disposable plastics glasses, packets and plates. Instead, suggested them to use disposable paper plates and glasses. The team also placed posters in nearby areas related to discourage single use and non-disposable plastic materials.
