Celebration of Constitution Day

Date: 26-11-2021

Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, is observed annually on 26 November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India on 26 November, 1949, and it came into force on 26 January 1950, which is celebrated in the country as Republic Day. As we all are aware, the Government of India had declared 26 November as Constitution Day by a gazette notification on 19th November, 2015. Hence, as is the tradition every year, we shall observe the Constitution Day (National Law Day), also known as Samvidhan Divas, on 26th November, 2021 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.

As per the directions of Central Ministry, University Institute of Law, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar has celebrated the constitutional day. On this day, Faculty members, explained the History of the Constitution, Preamble of the Constitution. Rights and Duties provided under the Indian Constitution are also explained. Head of Department, Dr. Seema Garg and the faculty members appreciated the participation of the students.

‘Yoga for Modern Life:Finding Serenity in a Busy World’
