Activity Report


NCC CATC-32 CAMP was commenced from 14th June 2024 to 23 June 2024 in Lovely Professional University Phagwara by 8 PunjabBn NCC Phagwara. Twenty Two cadets of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Jalandhar alongwith Care Taker OfficerDr.Harpreet Singh were the part of this well planned annual camp. The names of cadets are:ROHINI, ANITA, TAJINDER KAUR, AMANDEEP KAUR, PRIYA KOUNDAL, HIMANI, RIYA DEVI, VANITA DEVI, BALJIT KAUR, NATASHA, ANKITA, LAVISH KUMAR, AVNEET JASSAL, VIKAS, LAKSHDEEP SAINI, ROHIT, RAHUL KUMAR, KULVIR, GURSIMRAN SINGH, AKASHDEEP SINGH, RAGHIVIR SINGH and ANKUSH.
On 15 June 2024, this ten-day camp started with the opening address of Commanding Officer Mr.Dipankar Singh. All the cadets of university engaged themselves in each and every activity with full enthusiasm and zeal. It encouraged learning the theoretical and practical aspects of NCC. It inculcated the spirit of discipline, unity and community living in cadets. Cadets were strengthened both physically and mentally throughout the training session. There were so many lectures delivered on the topics like map reading, compass reading, weapon training and guard of honour. Cultural activities and awareness rallieswere also organised.In this camp the important guest lectures were also conducted on life saving topics, in which teachingsand lessons related to topics of fire safety, road safety, medical emergency,cyber security and crime were expounded by the experts. All these were the lifesaving lessons.
Various sports were also organized to give the cadets a healthy lifestyle and instill a competitive spirit. Games like volley ball, khoh-khoh, tug of war, athletics and zumba etc. were conducted. Apart from this, the cadets were also made aware about public speaking, dialogue and elocution, keeping in view the importance of values necessary for an ideal human being and citizen.
Many creative activities were also conducted to hone and recognize the talent of art and literature among the cadets. Song, poetry, essay writing competitions were conducted. Creative competition related to singing and dancing was conducted. Fine arts skills such as drawing and painting were honed.
In this way, this camp can be considered as a great contribution in the development of all-round personality among the cadets. Through this camp, along with the development of enthusiasm and energy in the students, confidence and the spirit of communication became strong. This camp came out to be very beneficial for the overall development of the cadets’ personality.
Brig Ajay Tewari Sena Medal,Group Commander Jalandhar appreciated the shining cadets of the camp. The cadets were honoured with the certificates by Brig Ajay Tewari,Commanding Officer Deepankar Singh and Adm Officer Lt Col Vishal Mundhar. Lavish Kumar a Cadet of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Jalandhardeclared as a best cadet of CATC.
