Visit to JSS Ashakiran Special School

Department of Education and Department of Humanities organized an Extension Activity based on the theme ‘The Need and Importance of Inclusion in Education’ in collaboration with JSS Ashakiran Special School, Jahan Khelan, Hoshiarpur on May 8, 2024. 45 Students from B.Ed. and M.Ed. and 15 students of B.A. participated in the activity and visited the special school. This activity aimed at the sensitisation of young minds towards children with special needs and to understand the significance of inclusive education in contemporary society. Students displayed great zeal and enthusiasm throughout the planning and execution of the activity. Eatables and stationery items were distributed to the special students. Ms. Parmjit Kaur, Ms. Rajveer Kaur and Ms. Parveen Kumari, Faculty of Education Department and Dr. Riyaz Ahmed Mir, Faculty of Humanities Department accompanied the students during the visit.
