With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Manmohan Singh ji, able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, under the aegis of IQAC, University Institute of Sciences (Department of Physical Sciences & Department of Life Sciences Allied Health Sciences and Agriculture Sciences)have celebrated National Science Day-2024on 28th February,2024.

  • Theme for this year National Science Day was: Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat. This day is celebrated all over India to recognize the importance of science in our lives. Science has completely transformed our lives. We use different scientific inventions to make our lives easy and comfortable.
  • As a part of the event, UIS have organized fourtheme basedactivities- Declamation, Science Quiz, On the spot Essay Writing and Rangoli making.
  • Event was commenced with the welcome address by Dean UIS.
  • About 150 students of various disciplines of sciences have participated in different events.
  • Students have made different patterns of Rangoli with vibrant colorsdepicting :Raman Effect, chromatography, indigenous agricultural practices etc.These rangoli patterns havedepicted many impressive views. Audience have highly appreciated the concepts of the event.
  • In Declamation section, students from different disciplines have discuss their views on Importance of technological developments in the field of science and agriculture which have made human wellbeing and standard of life.
  • In the Science Quiz Section, total six teams having their participation with full zeal and enthusiasm.
  • In the section of on-the-spot Essay writing competition, theme-based topic have been allocated to the students to portray their ideas. Students have explained various scientific phenomenon and possible technologies that have excelled scientific research.
  • One student from BPT had sang a melodious song and one student fromB.Sc. MLS-2ndSem hadpresented a self-composed poem.
  • Whole event was concluded smoothly and had provided good learning as well as refreshing experience for the students and teachers.
  • E-certificated have been provided to all participants.
