National Education Day

National Education Day is celebrated on November 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first education minister of India. Department of Education celebrated National Education Day in collaboration with IIC on November 8, 2023 by organizing a Powerpoint Presentation Event for the students of B.Ed. and M.Ed. programs. Students presented the Educational Philosophy of Eminent Educationists and Philosophers such as J. Krishnamurthy, Rabindranath Tagore, John Dewey, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and M.K. Gandhi.
Dr. Aneet Kumar, Dean UIE addressed various issues and concerns of contemporary education. He also discussed about the need and importance of value-oriented and ICT based education. Dr. Harpreet Singh, HoD (Humanities) shared his views about education as a source of enlightenment. Dr. Mandeep Singh, Dy. Dean UIE applauded the students for their effort and encouraged them to actively participate in such events. All faculty members of Department of Education were present during the event.
