World Tourism Day

Department of Management and Hotel Management of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University with great enthusiasm has celebrated "World Tourism Day" on 29th September 2023. It was organized in the Seminar Hall of Block no- 5. It commenced with "Shabad Gayan "followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp to invoke the blessings of "Goddess Saraswati". The seminar hall was filled with energy and fortunate with the presence of Respected Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar. The time had come to enjoy the cultural Programs which were arranged by the students of Hotel Management & Tourism. The event has formulated some competitions like the Rangoli Competition, Poster making competition, Speech Competition, and Modeling on Indian culture which based on the theme "Tourism and Green Investments". The objective of the event was to foster awareness among the students about the social, cultural, political, and economic values of tourism. Students and faculty members were well dressed in vibrant traditional outfits of different states like Punjab, Himachal, West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra. Winners were awarded with Medals and certificates. The top 3 teams from each event will be rewarded by the respected dignitaries. Finally, the event ended with refreshments for all students.
