Impact Orientation Series: Orientation about admission, ERP and Examination Procedure at SBBSU

With the heavenly blessings of Reverend Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji and Reverend Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), and with the benign endorsement of Honorable Chancellor Reverend Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji, and under the valuable guidance of Honorable Vice Chancellor of SBBSU Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh ji, the Professional Development/ Administrative Training Programmes (Committee for Teaching Staff) under the aegis of IQAC, SBBSU has organized the Impact Orientation Series: Orientation about Admission, ERP, and Examination Procedure at SBBSU on 23rd September 2023 (Saturday) from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The lecture commenced with the introductory speech of Dr. Anju Sood, Director IQAC. The first resource person Mr. Rajdeep Singh highlighted the various aspects of admission and admission-related issues at the university. Mr. Rajdeep Singh along with its team members Mr. Bhawandeep Vasudeva and Kamal Kumar discussed in detail the strength and various scholarship schemes available for the students taking admission in the university. They discussed the admission process including fee structure and paperless registration at university ERP. After their lecture faculty members interacted with the admission team for the solution of their queries.
The next speaker of the day Mr. Rajwinder Singh Dhami, Senior Network Administrator at the university discussed various features of the University’s website and ERP. Mr. Dhami informed about the login details at ERP, its need and implementation in the day-to-day life of the teachers. In the subsequent hands-on training session for the teachers, he solved various problems raised by the faculty members while operating ERP. It was a very effective and interactive orientation session for all the faculty members.
The last Resource Person of the day was Er. Rakeshinder Singh, Assistant Controller of Examination of University. Mr. Rakeshinder Singh has been handling the examination-related issues at the university for more than five years. He delivered an interactive talk about the Examination System including continuous assessment, Mid Semester Examination, End Semester Examination, Re-Appear Examination, CBCS System, Marks uploading and result preparation etc. He invited various questions from the participants and provided prompt responses. The lecture was very productive for the newly joined teachers. The programme was concluded by Dr. Indu Sharma (UIS), the convener of the Committee and the stage was handled by Ms. Navneet Kaur (UIL). This event was coordinated by Dr. Varinderjit Singh (UICM) and Er. Harjit Kaur (UICAIS). The organizing members of the event also included Dr. Gurmanik Kaur (UIET) and Dr. Harpreet Singh (UIH), the Professional Development/ Administrative Training Programmes (Committee for Teaching Staff) under the supervision of Dr. Anju Sood (Director, IQAC). In total 67 faculty members were present during the first orientation programme conducted under the Impact Seminar Series in Language Resource Lab in Block No. 3 of the University.
