Methodology for Measuring Attainment of COs/POs/PSOs

With the Heavenly Blessings of Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji, and under the supervision and patronage of Hon’ble Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar, a Hands-on Training Workshop on “Methodology for Measuring Attainment of COs/POs/PSOsw” was organized on 20 July 2023 by Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. Resource person of this workshop was Dr. Anju Sood, Associate Professor in Mathematics & Director IQAC, SBBS University. The workshop commenced with welcome note by Er. Jagteshwar Singh, member IQAC. The purpose of the workshop was to make the faculty of SBBSU familiarized with the CO-PO-PSO mapping and attainment methods to be adopted in various programmes being offered in the university.
Starting from formulation of COs/POs/PSOs and their mapping, Dr. Anju Sood explicated the SBBSU’s complete policy document on Methodology of Measuring Attainment of Pos/PSOs and COs. Attainment calculation methods of each and every evaluation component such as mid-term exams, assignments, end semester exams, Lab performance etc. are elucidated by live demonstration on Excel sheets. The participants exhibited there enthusiasm and practiced the methods on their personal computer systems and laptops during the workshop only. All their queries/issues were addressed in detail. Both the direct methods and Indirect methods of attainment of COs/POs/PSOs were discoursed. In nutshell the workshop proved to be very useful for the all the participating faculty by making them ready for the implementation of the COs/POs/PSOs attainment w.e.f. academic session 2023-24. Finally, the workshop ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Anju Sood, Director IQAC.
