International Olympic Day

World Olympic Day was created in 1948 as a tribute to June 23, 1894, when the inception of the modern Olympic Games took place at the Sorbonne in Paris. The aim of Olympic Day is to foster global engagement in sports, irrespective of age, gender, or athletic aptitude.
The Department Of Physical Education (SBBSU) has celebrated the INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC DAY on 23-JUNE, 2023 in which many number of sports events has been organized with full of entertainment and all students as well as staff members participated in the respective events they like.

Theme of International Olympic Day 2023
The theme of this year's Olympic Day is 'Let's Move' which aims to inspire people around the world to make time for daily physical activity.
The Department has provided opportunities to all the students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff only for the purpose to bring the message and awareness among all about the aim of this precious day which is developing into much more than a run or just a sports event. Based on the pillars of “Move, learn, discover – Together for a better world”, NOCs deploy sports, cultural and educational activities aimed at everybody – regardless of age, gender, social background or sporting ability.
