No Tobacco Day

Date: 31-05-2023

To spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco, our university organized a program on 'No Tobacco Day' on 31-May, 2023. Parents of all the students of class B.P.ES, B.P.ED AND M.P.ES were invited. The students through different activities highlighted the risks involved in the chewing of tobacco which are below mentioned.
Various activities like Poster Making Competition, Slogan Writing Competition and Theatrical Competitions were organized by school on Cluster level in the university premises. The topics for all the competition were “DRUG ABUSE AND HOW IT IS CONTROLLED”. All the students participated with full zeal. Pledge Ceremony was also taken by students and staff members.
The main and important thing is that we divided our students in different groups and each group has given a teacher to lead and guide. The theme “Grow food, not tobacco” has been discussed in all groups and each group gave their recommendations respectively which were finalized by the supervisor namely Dr. Amarjeet Singh (HoD).
Later all the students were address by Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Head of the Department as to spread the awareness regarding this sensitive issue which may lead us towards better future.
