National Science Day Celebration (Live Experiment Demonstration & Establishment of Science Wall)

With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji, able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, and under the aegis of IQAC and IIC, University Institute of Sciences celebrated National Science Day 2023 on 28 Feb,2023.
Theme of this year was: Global Science for Global wellbeing. This day is celebrated all over India to recognize the importance of science in our lives. Science has completely transformed our lives. We use different scientific inventions to make our lives easy and comfortable.
As a part of the event, Department of Physical Sciences have organized two events: Live Experiment Demonstration & Establishment of Science Wall.
Students of various disciplines of science and engineering have participated in these events.
Event was commenced with the welcome address by Head of the department.
Under Live Experiment demonstration, various experiments of chemical sciences, Physics, Biochemistry, Zoology have been demonstrated by students with great enthusiasm. Various scientific phenomenon such as ABO Blood Grouping, conductor & Insulator, Digestive system, Colors of Chemistry, Chemical reactions, chemical kinetics, Phase equilibria, microscopic Insect demonstration have been conducted.
Judgement have been conducted on the basis of knowledge, presentation and clarity of concepts of each Experiment demonstrated.
2nd activity organized by Department of Physical Sciences was Establishment of Science Wall. Students of B.Sc Non Medical, B.Sc CS and B.Sc Hons Math/Chemistry have contributed and developed photo frames of renowned scientists of Physics and Chemistry which have been displayed in the gallery of top floor, block 5 as Science wall. This will enhance scientific literacy among students.
Both events have been concluded smoothly and have provided good learning as well as refreshing experience for the students and teachers.
