Visit For Clinical Training In Sooch Hospital

With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) under the supervision and patronage of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, The Discipline of Physiotherapy, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar. As a part of clinical training, Discipline of Physiotherapy (Under the aegis of IQAC) visited to Sooch Hospital, Distt. Hoshiarpur from 22TH August, 2022 to 22th September, 2022.
The aim of this Clinical Training was to explore the further Physiotherapy treatment & services and its role in activities of daily living & being a independent. Batch of 22 students from above set institution of BPT 5th semester (Batch 2020) successful completed clinical training of 4 week period from 22/8/22 to 22/9/22 in the Sooch hospital. They were visited to Physiotherapy OPD and Operation theatre to expand their knowledge and to evaluate as well as make differential diagnosis for orthopedic conditions. They were also gone to Ortho ICU, Critical Care unit and General Wards to give the Physiotherapy treatment for Head injuries and special emphasize on gynecological cases. Along with that the assessment and treatment was also carried out for patients benefit and encouraging them to go for the physiotherapy treatment. Students also treated the patients in Physiotherapy OPD those who suffered from Low backaches and Osteoarthritis. Special physiotherapy techniques such as Maitland mobilization and McKenzie exercises were also included in treatment services provided by students and faculty of Discipline of physiotherapy, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University. Apart from physiotherapy services, students were explained about the mode of infections & precautions for COVID-19 disease. Consultant Physiotherapist also explained about the future scope of physiotherapy in variety of fields and disciplines. Dr.Amarjeet, Demonstrator Discipline of Physiotherapy, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar were honored with their immense contribution for Clinical Training in the hospital.
