World Ozone Day

Every year National Ozone Day is celebrated with a theme that spreads the message about the importance of Ozone layer. World Ozone Day is observed on September 16, every year. It is celebrated to spread awareness among people about the depletion of the Ozone Layer and search for possible solutions to preserve it. This event is a gathering of hundreds of thoughtful, innovative doers, who share a common interest in practical solutions for current Ozone layer issues. This is an important day for Indian Scientific Community. It is a day to innervate young minds and to impart scientific spirit with possible strategies and solutions for Ozone layer depletion.The department of Physical Sciences , under the Agis of IQAC have celebrated World Ozone Day ’ with Theme 2021 ‘Montreal Protocol- Keeping Us , Our Food and Vaccines Cool’ on 17-september-2021 in SBBSU.Students from various departments have participated enthusiastically in various theme based activities such as :Poster presentation (Theme based), Rangoli (Theme based), Plantation drive. Students have actively participated in each event. Winners have been awarded with E-certificates.To mark the significance of the day and to spread environmental awareness in the SBBSU campus there is ‘Plantation Drive’ by the faculty and the students of Physical sciences. Variour fruit plants, flowering and Medicinal plants have been planted in SBBSU campus.
