With the blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh ji (Brahm ji), and with the benign endorsement of our Respected Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji, under the able guidance of Respected Vice-Chancellor Sir, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar Sant Baba Bhag Singh University and in the presence of all the members of trust University organized two days Annual Athletic Meet, 2023, began on 21/02/2023 on University sports ground.
Dr. R. S. Pathania, Director Sports Welcome the Chief Guest Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji and all other dignitaries present on Annual Athletic Meet. Event was started with the Shabad Gyan, after this the march past was organized lead by Harjeet Singh. In this Athletic Meet five houses were formed and named after four Shaibzadas and one house named Mata Gujri house.
In this Annual Athletic Meet the results were Bilal Ahemad stood first in the 1500 meter race, Yuvraj Singh stood first in the 800 meter. In lemon race Chetra stood first in the, Riya second and Vaishali stood third, In long jump kailash stood first, Yuvraj second and Mohd Abbas stood third.
In the end Chief Guest Respected Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji gave medals, trophies and certificates and congratulated the winners, all students, faculty members and staff for successfully organizing this Athletic Meet, he said the Athletic Meet are very crucial as the students can show their talent and keep them physically fit and giving them lot of opportunities in the field of sports.
In this event Honorable Vice-Chancellor SBBSU Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar congratulated all winners all students, faculty members and staff for successfully organizing this Athletic Meet and motivated them to regularly participate in these events. He told that the students of the Sant Baba Bhag Singh University won at many Medals in national level events and interuniversity events. He said students, faculty members and staff used to take it as part of their exercises for maintaining fitness. Athletic Meet are being organized with an objective of recognizing new talents and nurturing them to make them world class athletes. On this occasion Dr. R.S. Pathania Director Sports, Dr. Amarjeet Singh of Physical education department and all students, faculty members and staff were present.
