Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized the University Youth Festival YUVA 2022 from 1st Dec to 3rd Dec in the university campus. On this occasion various cultural, literary, oratory and artistic inter departmental competitions were organized. The department of Life Sciences, Allied Health Sciences & Agriculture Sciences of SBBSU organized a technical event “SHORT FILM CONTEST” on first day of the youth festival. The event was conducted and managed by the departmental event coordinators: Ms Kamaldeep Kaur and Ms Sonia, faculty members and student coordinators: Ms Shivali Sharma, Ms Shaily and MD DILAWAR from the discipline of Medical Laboratory Sciences and MSc Medical Microbiology. The panel of teachers consisting of Dr Nipun Chhabra from University Institute of Computer Applications and Information Sciences and Dr Kalpana Thakur from department of Law were judges of the day.
The event was started at sharp 10:30 AM at the scheduled venue (Room No. 423, Block 5). Eight students from different departments and institutes participated with great zeal in the event. During the event, the films shoot/directed or produced by them were displayed in front of all judges and audience. The screening and judgement was done strictly on the criteria already informed to the participants.
The first position was bagged by the Team A: Ms Khwahish, Ms Shivali and Mr Amritpal (B.Sc MLS, Sem -3) whereas the second position was held by Ms Mamta and Taranpreet Kaur, members of Team B (B.Sc MLS sem-5). All the winners were awarded with certificates at the conclusion of the event.
