National Pi/π Day (Birth Anniversary of Sir Albert Einstein)

With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji, able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, Department of Physical Sciences (under the aegis of IQAC), celebrated National Pi/π Day (Birth Anniversary of Sir Albert Einstein) on 14th March 2022 to pay tribute to his contribution in the field of Science.
Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist was one of the greatest and most persuasive physicists of all time. Einstein is best known for developing the theory of relativity, made important contributions to the development of the theory of quantum mechanics which are two pillars of modern physics.
Sir has devised mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2, which arises from relativity theory, has been dubbed "the world's most famous equation”. His work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science.
Sir has received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.
His intellectual achievements and originality resulted in "Einstein" becoming synonymous with "genius" .Einsteinium, one of the synthetic elements in the periodic table, was named in his honor.
Students and faculty of Physical Sciences have celebrated the birth anniversary of Albert Einstein with two activities: Poster & Collage making and Declamation on contribution of Sir Albert Einstein.
Students have described different aspects of life , education and contribution of Einstein. Students have beautifully prepare slogans/quotes of Einstein.
All faculty members have elaborated different discoveries made by Einstein and described their significance in Science. To make this day special, cake cutting was carried out.
Dr Nisha Sharma Coordinator (Department of Physical Sciences) had also shared her experiences with faculty and students.
