Constitutional Day 2022

Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, is observed annually on 25th November 2022 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India on 26 November, 1949, and it came into force on 26 January 1950, which is celebrated in the country as Republic Day. As we all are aware, the Government of India had declared 26 November as Constitution Day by a gazette notification on 19th November, 2015. Hence, as is the tradition every year, we shall observe the Constitution Day (National Law Day), also known as Samvidhan Divas, on 25th November, 2022 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
As per the directions of Central Ministry, University Institute of Law, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar has celebrated the constitutional day. On this occasion, students of law department participated in poster making competition based on the theme of Indian Constitution. Dean UICM, Dr. Ramandeep Chahal presided as judge of poster competition and Head of Department, Dean UIL, Dr. Seema Garg and COD, UIL Dr. Kalpana Thakur along with event coordinator Ms. Harwinder Kaur and the faculty members appreciated the participation of the students.
