With the heavenly blessings of Revered Chancellor, Sant Baba Dlawar Singh ji, Brahm ji, and with the benign endorsement of Respected Chancellor, Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji and under the able support and guidance of worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar, and Management committee member, Sardar Pritpal Singh, with motivation from Dean UIET and Registrar, Dr. Vijay Dhir, the department of Computer Science and Engineering, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, organized one day seminar on “CYBERSECURITY: A PROFESSIONAL APPROACH TO PROTECTION”, under the aegis of IQAC and IIC cell of SBBSU on 9th November, 2022.
A total of 140 students and 15 faculty members from University Institute of Engineering and Technology and University Institute of Computer Application and Information sciences participated in the event. Stage anchoring was done by Ms. Priyanka, B.Tech CSE 3rd semester student.
The resource person and the key note speaker of the event, Dr. Sudhir Gaur, is Chief Education Officer at Vserv Infosystems Pvt. Ltd., Noida. He stressed upon the need of handling security issues in any organization. He discussed upon handling cyber risk, cyber threats, data prevention and data management. Dr. Sudhir Gaur accompanied Mr. Jagdeep Singh, Area manager, Vserv Infosystems Pvt. Ltd.
At the end of the seminar vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, Dy. Dean and Head of CSE dept. The department is thankful to Mr. Sukhvinder Singh, Head of Animation and Multimedia department for his cooperation. The department is also thankful to Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Cyber Information Security officer of the University and Head of CSA department, Dr. Nirmal Kaur. Last but not the least the Head of the department extends special thanks to students and all teaching and non teaching staff members of CSE department for their timely support.
