With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), under the supervision of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharmjit Singh Parmar under the aegis of IQAC, the Environment Sustainability and Management Cell, SBBSU celebrated “WORLD ANIMAL WELFARE DAY” on 4th October, 2022. A stray animal feeding drive was carried out in the university campus by the students.
There are around 50 stray animals inside campus. The students contributed towards this activity with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students brought milk, biscuits, extra chapattis and bread from their homes to feed the stray animals mostly dogs residing inside the university. This activity was performed without capturing the animals or causing any kind of harm to them. The students showed empathy towards the animals and felt motivated towards the welfare of the animals inside or outside the campus. They pledged that they will continue feeding the stray animals in future as well. As response to this celebration, the students fed the animals like cows, birds, squirrels, dogs living in the vicinity of their houses.
ESM cell applauded the act of the students and will continue to work in this direction of serving the society including animals.
