With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Hon'ble Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji, under the able guidance of Respected Vice-chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar,Department of Punjabi organised a special guest lecture on the topic of ‘ShaheedBhagat Singh: Sahit, Vichardhara Ate NayakBimb’ on September 27, 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of ShaheedBhagat Singh. The resource person for the event was Dr. Praveen Kumar from USOL, Panjab University Chandigarh. Dr. Praveen highlighted the importance of ideology, life and literature of ShaheedBhagat Singh. He threw light on the heroic image pertaining to the characteristics such as his sensibility, scholarship and love for mankind through Punjabi literature and Punjabi Folk Literature. He portrayed the life of ShaheedBhagat Singh starting right from his birth till martyrdom. Dr. Praveen told about that ShaheedBhagat Singh fought against British Colonialism and Imperialism for the sake of social and political change.
