Legal Awareness Camp

Sant Baba Bhag Singh Legal Literacy Club, University Institute of Law, SBBS University, Khiala, Jalandhar, organized Legal Awareness Camp on 30th May, 2022 at Lions Eye Hospital Adampur, District Jalandhar. In her address Ms. Manjot kaur reiterated that objective of Legal Aid Clinic is to spread the Legal Awareness among the people especially to the women in rural areas. The participants were made aware about the services provided by the Legal Aid Clinic run by the aforesaid Institute. Ms Harwinder Kaur discussed about the benefits of Mediation Centre run by Legal Services Authorities. Students of B.A.LL.B 8th and B.A.LL.B 10th Semester in their address threw a light on the rights of women under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, menace of child marriage and victim compensation scheme run by the Legal Services Authorities. Camp was attended by the President S Amarjit Singh & Secretary S Harwinder Singh of the Lions Club along with the staff members of the Hospital. During the interactive session the queries raised by the participants were satisfactorily answered in the Interactive Session.
