Awareness Drive on "Public Health Disease & Hygiene practices"

With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) under the supervision and patronage of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, the Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences (UIS) under the aegis of IQAC organized Awareness Drive entitled "Public Health Disease & Hygiene practices" in village Daroli kalan (SBBSU adopted village) in association with Dasmesh Welfare Society (Regd.) Hoshiarpur on 14th March 2022 .
The motive of this event was to spread awareness regarding various Public Health Disease, Importance of booster dose for Covid 19 and various hygiene practices. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Dr Shweta Singh (Coordinator, Life Sciences & Allied Health Sciences), Ms. Sonia Sharma (Assistant Professor, Life Sciences & Allied Health Sciences.
During awareness drive, students and faculty of Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences have provided awareness regarding Covid 19, its spread, symptoms and prevention measures. They also demonstrated the steps for hygiene practices and sanitation to the locals with the help of charts and posters. Students also explained the importance of immunization to the locals. Various basic diagnostic tests especially the blood tests and its significance were elaborated. Furthermore, students discussed about diabetes, its signs and symptoms, and the diet that should be followed to prevent the ill effects of this disease. The audience have highly valued the efforts of students and faculty of SBBSU for organizing this drive. Gurudwara committee members honored all faculty members & appreciated the effort of students of SBBSU for organizing this camp.
