Baisakhi Celebrations

Date: 12-04-2022 to 13-04-2022

Under able guidance of Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, whole Management and Administrative authorities, three institutes i.e. UICA, UICM & UIL of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University organized two days “Baisakhi Celebrations” festival on 12th and 13th April 2022. On the very first day, path of Shri Sukhmani Sahib was recited at Gurdwara Bhagatpura Sahib in the University Campus. Langar was also served for Faculty, Staff and students of whole university. Students of BCA and BBA did Sewa of Chhabeel (Flavoured Chilled Sweet Water).

On second day, “Turban Tying Competition” and Gurbani Kanth” competitions were successfully organized. Pardeep Singh, Iqbal Singh and Jasraj Singh won the first, second and third prizes respectively in “Turban Tying Competition”. Jaspreet Singh, Gurleen Kaur and Harleen Singh were the winners of “Gurbani Kanth” competition. Mr. Sarabjeet Singh, faculty Physical Education department handled stage very well. At last Honable Chancellor Sant Sarwan Singh Ji, Honable Secretary S. Hardaman Singh Minhas and Honable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dharmajit Singh Parmar awarded the winners and runner ups with Medals and Siropa ( Neck Scarf with a mark of respect). Students of Hotel Management, Law, Computer Science Applications including Management and Commerce departments arranged Kiosks of various Indian cuisines. Dean UICA Dr. Seema Garg, Dean UICM Dr, Ramandeep Chahal, Head of Department CSA Dr. Umesh Sehgal, faculty and students were also present there.
