With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), under the supervision and patronage of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, the Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences visited Saada Pind, Amritsar on 17th November, 2021. The aim of the visit was to give exposure to the students to the culture and history of Punjab. Around 40 graduation students of B.Sc MLS (5th Sem), B.Sc Medical (1st and 3rd Sem) accompanied by 2 faculty members went for the visit.
Saada Pind is an artificial Punjabi village museum situated in the outskirts of Amritsar. It gave a chance to the students to experience authentic culture, colors and flavors of Punjab. The students witnessed beautiful mud houses, lassi being churned, charpais, artisans creating beautiful art work, women singing folk songs. They also got a taste of Punjabi cuisines. Thus, this trip was not only for the recreation of all the students but gave them opportunity to reconnect with their roots and understand the traditions and values of their fathers and forefathers.
