InternalSmart India Hackathon, SIH 2022

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University Institute of Engineering & Technology in collaboration with Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell of SBBSU (MOE-IIC) organized InternalSmart India Hackathon, SIH 2022.

Smart India Hackathon is in-line with “Make in India” initiative. To iterate the efforts towards the vision of Digital India and to promote digital literacy in order to make development a comprehensive mass movement, MHRD, AICTE, i4c and Persistent Systems have been organizing Smart India Hackathon since year 2017.This model promotes out of box thinking in young minds. It is a vehicle for getting new ideas and converting these ideas into products and business. It is a unique innovation model.

It's a non-stop product development competition, where problem statements are posed to technology students for innovative solutions. These problems are from either State Ministry, Central Ministry or from Industry personnel. For Smart India Hackathon-2022 there are 103 hardware and 459 software ‘problem statements’.

Evaluation criteria followed by jury members included novelty of the idea, complexity, clarity and details in the prescribed format, feasibility, practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience and potential for future work progression. After thorough evaluation of proposed ideas to various problem statements, 10 teams with total of 60 students were shortlisted for Finale.
