With heavenly blessings of Brahm Ji and under the able guidance of Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dr Dharamjit Singh Ji Parmar, an in-house one-day seminar on Skill Development in Grammar was conducted on 16th March 2022, for all the students of university. Mr. Abhinav Sharma Assistant Professor of Department of Humanities addressed the students and make them aware of the importance of communication skills. Around 153 students participated in Workshop with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Resource Person Ms. Amanpreet Kaur clearly briefed the objectives of workshop to the participants about Grammar and its effective usage to implement it in life. She also discussed about various terms of grammar in the form of parts of speech where she explained about types of these eight parts to make language effective. Participants also learnt about elements of good grammar, its functions and mechanics of using it perfectly. The aspects of parts of speech and the principles of using it in writing process were also discussed. Proficiency in using grammatical terms is essential to become a well-rounded communicator. It gives learners the opportunity to create contexts in which to use the language for exchange of real information, evidence of their own ability and, most important, confidence.
Overall, the workshop was a big success as it was much appreciated by the participants.
