National Science Day

February 28 is celebrated as National Science Day to mark the invention of the Raman Effect. With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) under the supervision and patronage of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, the University Institute of Sciences (UIS) celebrated National Science Week from 28th February, 2022 to 4th March, 2022. The Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences organized two activities on this occasion viz. Poster Presentation and Rangoli making. National Science Day was celebrated with theme “Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future”.

The motive of this event was to raise awareness regarding the role and importance of science in our daily routine. The students came up with their unique ideas representing science in sustainable development in the form of many posters. Also, students exhibited different science concepts in the form of rangoli. Around 48 students participated in this event with great enthusiasm and fervor. Each participant was judged based on their presentation skills, scientific concept, demonstration skills. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd position winners were announced as per the judgement by respective judges. The position holders were awarded with e-certificates.

NCC UNIT of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Jalandhar organized an Extension Activity in Khanaura village.
