World Immunization Day

With the heavenly blessings of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) under the supervision and patronage of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Baba Sarwan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, The Department of Life Sciences & Allied Health Sciences, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, organized an awareness camp in the Government Senior Secondary School, village Ahrana Kalan on 10th November, 2021. The aim of this camp was to educate the students regarding the importance of vaccination. With this motive, the camp was organized on 10th November which is celebrated as World Immunization Day each year. Around 20 students accompanied by 2 faculty members successfully conducted the camp. The university students interacted with the students of the school and made them aware regarding the various vaccines available for many infectious diseases. With the help of charts, students demonstrated the immunization schedule right from the birth of the child till 18 years of age. Besides, the students were explained the benefits of immunization for improvement of health and protection against life-threatening diseases. Apart from this, the accompanying faculty emphasized the significance of COVID-19 vaccination, clarifying many myths about it and convinced the students and teachers of the school to motivate their near and dear ones to take two doses of COVID-19 vaccine. The authorities of the school and village appreciated this act.
