International Women Day

The Department of Punjabi (UIH), organised a special lecture on dated 08,March 2022 on the eve of International Woman’s Day. The esteemed guest Dr. Harmeet Kaur (Assistant Professor in Department of Punjabi at Ramgarhia College, Phagwara)was invited for the lecture. Dr. Sangeeta (Assistant Professor in Department in Punjabi) and Dr. Anita Rani (Assistant Professor in the department of Punjabi) were conveners of this event. Dr Harpreet Singh(Assistant Professor in Punjabi) introduced the guest and Dr. Sangeeta welcomed her. She presented her ideas and views on `Gender Equality’. She was of the view that male and female should be treated equal whether it comes at personal or professional level. Prof. Avtar Singh from Ramgarhia College also graced the occasion with their words. The students performed a play representing the status of a woman. All the faculty members of different departments were present here and the lecture was attended by 95 participants. Dr. Anita Rani and Dr. Mandeep Singh (Dy. Dean, UIE and Assistant Professor in the department of Punjabi, UIH) addressed and summed up with a vote of thanks at the end of the session.

NCC UNIT of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University Jalandhar organized an Extension Activity in Khanaura village.
