National Science Day 2022 (Best Out of Waste & Live Experiment Demonstration)

With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji, able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar , and under the aegis of IQAC, University Institute of Sciences celebrated Nation Science Day 2022 from today onwards till 4th March 2022. This day is celebrated all over India to recognize the importance of Science in our lives. Science has completely transformed our lives. We use different scientific inventions to make our lives easy and comfortable.On this occasion, Department of Physical Sciences organized two activities: i.e. Live Experiment demonstration and Best out of waste for students.Registration for participation is without any registration fee.Registration link: : https://forms.gle/ASGCbmWgQyJRi7mz7. Event was began by welcome speech of Dr. Nisha Sharma, coordinator (Department of Physical Sciences). She shared valuable information and significance celebration of this day with students. Students from various disciplines have participated enthusiastically. In Live experiment demonstration, students have presented their scientific knowledge by demonstrating various scientific phenomenon such as conduction, convection, diffusion, supercritical fluids, phase transition, electromagnetic conduction, Acid/ base titration, earthquake alarm system. Some experiments have also been depicted in the form of demonstration tools which could be useful as teaching aids. In Best out of waste event, students showed their creativities by using waste materials to make different useful things as well as depicting various concepts of science. Students have presented Natural filtration system, rain water harvesting system, mulching farming, hanging garden, eco-park and helping hand to save earth etc and many more. Judgement of each activity was carried out on the basis of concept, presentability, innovative idea and Q/A session. Winners have been awarded with e-certificates.
