“Choose Life Not Tobacco” Lecture was held at Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar on 18th Feb., 2022 to spread awareness among the students against tobacco consumption. Dr Seema Garg spoke on the ill effects of tobacco, the fatal disease it causes, the addictive nature of cigarettes & also explained the hazardous effects of tobacco use. Tobacco kills more than 6 million people across the world. I million deaths occur in India due to tobacco related diseases. She also informed the students about the dangers of e-smoking, e-cigarettes are as dangerous as traditional cigarettes.

Department of Training & Placement has successfully organized Guest Lecture by Ms. Shalini Jayakrishnan, Practice Lead (Infosys BPM) on 16 November 2021 for MCA/BCA/BBA/ MBA/B.Com final year students. In this session she has shared the opportunity given by the Infosys to the students and how the students apply and convert opportunities into placement.

Department of Training & Placement has successfully organized seminar in Collaboration with NCC Army Wing SBBSU on “Career Development & Opportunity” by Indian Air Force under career enhancement on 23 September 2021 for B.Tech (all streams) & NCC Cadets. During this session the officials of Indian Air Force share their experience & guide the students regarding career in Indian Air Force and also motivated the students to join the Indian Air Force.

ICT is providing an opportunity to SBBSU for organizing a unique social initiative to empower deserving and underprivileged girl students. This initiative hosted 75 hours of Training of final year girl students in the subject "Data analytics".

NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar celebrated Vigilance Awareness week from 26th October to 1st November 2021 under the supervision of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji, Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar and Registrar Dr. Dhiraj Sharma. NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar in association with ESM Cell, SBBSU organized an awareness drive to discourage the use of Single use plastic on 28th October 2021 under the supervision of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar.he members of NSS Unit and ESM Cell along with the students participated in the event and aware the staff of canteen and other surrounding shops to discourage the use of single use plastic. They also alert the students thereby, and asked them not to purchase disposable plastics glasses, packets and plates.

NSS and Red Ribbon Club of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar in association with Physiotherapy Department celebrated “International Day for Older Persons” on 1st October 2021 under the supervision of Honorable Chancellor, Sant Sarwan Singh Ji and Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar. Er. Nidhi Arora, Incharge, NSS and Red Ribbon Club, Dr, Jares and Dr. Amarjit from Physiotherapy Department of Sant baba Bhag Singh University along with their students successfully organized Physiotherapy Camp with the purpose to provide free Physiotherapy services to elder people and aware them how to manage their regular activities independently.
