With the heavenly blessing of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) under supervision and patronage of Honourable Chancellor, Sant Baba Manmohan Singh Ji and Worthy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dharamjit Singh Parmar, The Discipline of Physiotherapy, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar, conducted a seminar on cardiopulmonary resuscitation on 5th February, 2025.
The chief guest and presenter of the event was Dr. Karnail Singh, General skin physician at Puran Hospital. The purpose of this event was to having more emphasis on lifesaving technique to keep blood flowing when the heart stops beating. He discussed about the precautions and some safety measures during procedure. He explained about a collection of interventions performed to provide oxygenation and circulation to the body during cardiac arrest. The technique described here is intended for a healthcare provider performing CPR procedure on dummy. Simultaneously, begin CPR by first performing chest compressions, followed by opening the airway and delivering rescue breaths and thirty compressions are performed, followed by a brief pause for two rescue breaths. Students from discipline of physiotherapy were present during the lecture, and showed their huge interest by clarifying their doubts.
