World Brain Day Celebration
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, along with CSE (AI & ML), Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, celebrated World Brain Day with enthusiastic participation from 1st Year CSE and 1st Year CSE (AI & ML) students. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, Dean UIET and Head of Department, CSE, with the aim of promoting awareness about brain health and the importance of mental relaxation in students' daily routines.
Event Overview
The celebration featured engaging and fun-filled activities designed to highlight the importance of regular brain relaxation and stress-free learning. The event was coordinated by Er. Hitakshi, Departmental Activity In-charge, and conducted with active involvement of faculty members from both departments.
Highlights of the Event
1. Game Playing Activity – Ludo
A lively Ludo-playing session was organized, fostering a joyful and competitive spirit among students. This activity encouraged brain stimulation, strategic thinking, and social interaction — essential elements for cognitive development.
2. Faculty Support
- 1st Year CSE (AI & ML) Section: Assisted by Er. Akashdeep Singh, Er. Manpreet Singh, and Mr. Gurpreet Singh.
- 1st Year CSE Section: Supported by Er. Neelam Rani, Er. Tejinder Kaur, and Mr. Gurpreet Singh.
3. Student Engagement & Awareness
Students actively shared ideas and suggestions for brain relaxation techniques and games. Discussions emphasized the importance of mental fitness and the benefits of taking short mental breaks to boost focus and productivity.
Outcome
The event proved to be a fun-filled and intellectually refreshing experience. It successfully achieved its goal of raising awareness about brain health and mental well-being in an engaging, student-friendly way. Students thoroughly enjoyed the session and expressed interest in more such interactive and stress-relieving activities in the future.
