World Brain Day Celebration
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, along with CSE (AI & ML), Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, celebrated World Brain Day with great enthusiasm and active student participation. The event was organized under the able guidance of Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, Dean UIET and Head of Department, CSE, with the objective of spreading awareness about brain health and the importance of mental well-being in today’s fast-paced academic and professional environment.
Event Overview
The celebration included a blend of fun-filled and educational activities designed to promote brain relaxation and mental wellness. The event was coordinated by Er. Hitakshi, Departmental Activity In-charge, with support from Er. Tejinder Kaur, Er. Kirandeep Kaur, and Er. Manpreet Singh.
Highlights of the Event
1. Presentation Activity
Selected students from 2nd and 3rd year presented topics related to brain health, cognitive fitness, and the role of mental relaxation in academic success. Presentations covered stress management, digital detox, mindfulness, and healthy study habits, raising awareness among peers.
2. Fun Activity – Brain Relaxation Games
Interactive games and brain exercises were organized to improve concentration, memory, and reduce academic stress. Students showcased and participated in activities such as puzzles, memory games, and group challenges, demonstrating their benefits in boosting focus and creativity.
3. Motivational Discussions
A motivational segment encouraged students to balance academics with mental wellness. Students shared personal experiences and strategies for dealing with stress, highlighting why mental fitness should be a daily priority.
Outcome
The event was a refreshing and insightful experience for students, providing a platform for expression and creativity while emphasizing the importance of brain health. Participants appreciated the department’s efforts in organizing an engaging and meaningful celebration. The department aims to host more such initiatives promoting holistic student development and well-being.
