Report on “World Anesthesia Day 2025” Celebration
Under the aegis of IQAC, the discipline of Anesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology, Department of Life Science and Allied Health Sciences (UIS), Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, celebrated World Anesthesia Day 2025 on 3rd November 2025 at the University Seminar Hall. The event commenced with a warm welcome, followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony that symbolized knowledge, healing, and service to humanity. Dignitaries, faculty members, and students graced the inauguration, marking the beginning of a meaningful and inspiring celebration. The event was inaugurated by Honourable Dr. Aksh Sharma (Coordinator), department of Life Science and Allied Health Sciences. The current year's theme of the event was “Anesthesiology in Health Emergencies: Raising Awareness and Strengthening Preparedness for Anesthesia Services in Critical Situations Worldwide” and aimed to highlight the crucial role of anesthesiologists and OT technologists in emergency and critical care settings, especially during global health crises. The event was focused on enhancing awareness, preparedness, and education in safe anesthesia practices, emergency response, and patient care. The program featured various activities conducted during the celebration, including; • Speech competition • Quiz competition • Skit/Drama presentation • Model Presentation Around 30 students participated in these activities. In a successfully organized event, participants showcased remarkable talent and enthusiasm. After a competitive performance, the winners were declared and awarded with certificates. Overall, the event was a tribute to all healthcare heroes who work behind the scenes in operation theatres, ensuring patient safety with knowledge, skill, and dedication.
