To celebrate World AI Appreciation Day on 16th July 2025, the Department of CSE and CSE AI & ML, SBBSU, organized a PowerpointPresentation Event. The event was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. JagdeepKaur, Dean UIET and Head, Department of CSE, whose leadership and encouragement played a pivotal role in the event's success.
The competition was designed to foster awareness and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among students while simultaneously enhancing their research, articulation, and presentation skills. As AI continues to transform global industries—including healthcare, finance, education, and communication—this event emphasized the growing need for future professionals to be equipped with both technical knowledge and the ability to convey ideas effectively.
The event was organized under the aegis of the UCA Club and IQAC, and was coordinated by Er. Hitakshi (Departmental Activity In-charge) with the support of Er. RamanpreetKaur and faculty members of the department. Their collaborative efforts ensured a well-structured and impactful event.
A unique feature of this celebration was seminar session delivered by the students themselves, where they presented key concepts, real-world applications, ethical issues, and innovations related to AI. This student-led initiative provided a platform for peer learning and allowed participants to take ownership of their academic growth. The seminar segment helped boost student confidence, encouraged independent research, and deepened their interest in AI.
Students from both the CSE and CSEAI & ML branches participated actively in the competition. They prepared creative and technically rich presentations on a range of topics, including Artificial Neural Networks, AI in Robotics, Ethical AI, AI for Social Good, and Future Trends in AI. Each presentation reflected the students' critical thinking and dedication.
The successful execution of the event was further supported by Er. Akashdeep Singh, Er. Manpreet Singh andEr.TejinderKaur, who assisted in managing the event, guiding participants, and ensuring a smooth and professional environment throughout.
This Powerpoint Presentation Event, on AI tools, was not just a celebration of AI but also a milestone in promoting collaborative learning, student leadership, and academic excellence within the department. It reflected SBBSU's commitment to nurturing innovation and empowering students to become thoughtful and capable contributors in the tech-driven future.
