Teachers’ Day Celebration 2025 – Department of Computer Science & Engineering

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering celebrated Teachers’ Day on 9th September 2025 with great enthusiasm, warmth, and respect for the mentors who dedicate their lives to guiding and inspiring students. The event was organized by the students of the department under the guidance of Er. Ramanpreet Kaur, COD, CSE, and Er. Hitakshi, Departmental Activity Incharge, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Jagdeep Kaur, Dean UIET and Head, Department of CSE. This year’s celebration was particularly special as it marked the reopening of the university after the floods in Punjab, symbolizing a new beginning filled with gratitude, joy, and unity among faculty and students.

Event Overview

The celebration began with a heartfelt welcome to all the faculty members by the students. The Computer Lab, Block No. 5, was beautifully decorated with balloons, streamers, and flowers, creating a festive and affectionate atmosphere.

Teachers’ Day, observed in honor of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, serves as a reminder of the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the future of society. The event provided students with an opportunity to express their deep appreciation for their mentors who constantly inspire them to achieve excellence and wisdom.

Activities and Highlights

The celebration witnessed the active participation of around 50 students from B.Tech CSE and CSE (AI & ML). The program included several engaging and meaningful activities:

🎤 Speeches: Students delivered touching speeches highlighting the guidance, patience, and dedication of their teachers. They shared personal experiences and stories that reflected their admiration and gratitude.
✍️ Poetry Recitation: Students presented heartfelt poems—some self-composed and others well-known—that beautifully expressed their emotions and respect for the teachers.
🎁 Token of Gratitude: As a gesture of love and appreciation, students presented pens as gifts to their teachers—symbolizing the power of knowledge, learning, and continuous inspiration.

The event was filled with joy, laughter, and warmth, creating cherished memories for both teachers and students.

The entire celebration was organized by the students of the CSE Department under the guidance of Er. Ramanpreet Kaur (COD, CSE) and Er. Hitakshi (Departmental Activity Incharge). Their supervision and support ensured that every segment of the program—from planning and decoration to hosting and coordination— was executed smoothly and successfully.

The students’ dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm reflected their deep respect and love for their teachers, making the event a grand success.
